Experience Required:
- Strong experience in Evaluation & Management (E/M) coding
- Expertise in Surgery coding across multiple specialties
- Hands-on experience with Emergency Department (ED) coding
- Knowledge of Multispecialty professional coding
- Typically 8+ years of medical coding experience with team leadership exposure
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor coding teams handling E/M, Surgery, ED, and Multispecialty accounts.
- Ensure coding accuracy, productivity, and compliance with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and payer guidelines.
- Conduct quality audits and provide feedback to coders.
- Analyze coding trends, denials, and revenue cycle impacts.
- Support client communications and operational reviews.
- Implement process improvements and training initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs, SLA adherence, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with managers and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- CPC, CCS, or equivalent coding certification.
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.
- Experience leading teams, conducting audits, and managing performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple specialties and complex coding scenarios.
